Objective Seize the opportunity of the evaluation of the Beijing Platform for Action in 2010, to bring the authorities at national, regional and sub-regional levels to adopt specific measures for the recognition and effectiveness of women’s rights, and women in West Africa, particularly in Togo, Mali, Ghana and Senegal, to be more aware of their rights and to claim them

Institutional support for WiLDAF networks in West Africa in 2010

WiLDAF, Sub Regional Office for West Africa was established in April 1997. It is part of a pan African women’s rights network established in 1990, initially based in Harare, but now based in Lomé, Togo. It dedicated to promoting and strengthening strategies which link law and development to increase women’s participation and influence at the community, national and international levels.
